Buying Store Brands: How They Enable You to Save Money

Published by jenfoote at 7:57 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Are you looking for ways to save money? If you are, you will want to examine the brands that you buy. Did you know that you may be able to save money when buying store brands or cheaper brands, as opposed to name brand foods?

If you are like I was at one point, you may be thinking “no way.” I automatically assumed that cheap food probably tastes cheap. Of course, there are some products that you may have to have the “real thing.” For example, I cannot skimp on mayonnaise. I have to have Hellmann’s and nothing else, but you may want to try experimenting.

In our small town, we have what is referred to as a dollar food store. I purchased a large sized box of Acme Apple Crunchies. This is the equivalent to Apple Jacks. To my surprise, they were good. In fact, I may have not even noticed a difference if I didn’t buy them or see the box. The money that I was able to save was $2 on a box of cereal. Although not large in size, this savings can add up overtime.
